Three Breakthrough eleventh-grade students were recently honored at the Simon Foundation Scholarship Banquet. The three students, Connor Carman (Santa Fe High), Maritza Ochoa (Capital), and Ruby Grajeda (Capital), were selected as 2010 Simon Scholars after a competitive application process. The Simon Scholarship provides students with extensive college counseling, a laptop computer, and $4600/year in college. Nine students from Santa Fe were awarded the scholarship. Congratulations, Connor, Maritza, and Ruby!

Current sophomores at Santa Fe High, Capital High School, and Monte Del Sol will be able to apply for the Simon Scholarship this spring. An application workshop for Breakthrough students will be held in February.
